Freedom of speech and assembly are guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution; the others are religion, press and petition.  It is the unalienable rights of its citizens to have the right to gather in public place, peacefully march and protest to voice their opinions, to express the disapproval of their government, and to criticize openly and freely without the interference of their government.  From the Gettysburg Address,2that government of the people, by the people, for the people“, and when the government is showing incompetence, its citizens have the right to voice their displeasure.
